When you walk the fairways at La Costa Resort and Spa you are walking the same fairways that the legends of the game have walked for over 30 years. La Costa is currently the host of the World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play Championship.

The two PGA Championship 18 hole golf courses are both beautiful and traditional in design. Both courses challenge golfers shotmaking ability, both off the tee, and around the greens. Four sets of tees provide a golf course length for all players to enjoy.

At La Costa, your golf experience will be a memorable one!

General Review
Pros: - layout
- fairway, bunker conditioning
- weather
- setting

Cons: - inconsistent greens, bumpy and extremely slow
- practice facilities, small putting greens,

Overall Thoughts: Our day at La Costa began with valet service, the clubhouse, pro shop and amenities are top notch. The service was decent, however the bag room did take quite a while in getting our cart keys. The course setup was inviting and did make you play both draws and cuts. The setting was beautiful with surrounding mountains and dramatic views around every corner. The one knock I would have against the course on a whole was the lack of penalty for errant tee shots, most of the time you were able to advance the ball back around the green with little or no difficulty. The green complexes while well contoured did not play to their potential. The grass mix definitely contained poa anna that was overgrown, bumpy and the greens were very inconsistent from one to the next, gaining any sort of feel became very difficult early in the round. For the price, even at twilight La Costa is worth the green fee ($125) for the history and to say you've played a tour stop, but for my money there are far better golfing experiences in greater San Diego.
What do you usually shoot for 18 holes?: Under 80
