Located in Waterloo, IL, Annbriar Golf Course is consistantly ranked among the best public courses in the St. Louis area.

The course is cut through 226 acres of rolling farmland and designed by famed architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan, who also designed the Tavern Creek Course at the Country Club of St. Albans.

The course layout is challenging but tough, and you can expect the conditioning of the course to always be among the best in the area.

General Review
Pros: - conditioning of the course
- risk/reward opportunities
- wide, but challenging fairways
- big greens, well protected

Cons: - bunkers were a bit eroded
- greens were bumpy and inconsistent
- no GPS
- small driving range

Overall Thoughts: gps and/or more frequent yardage markers would have helped immensely for layup and placement of approach shots. Annbriar is a fun track to play and perinially ranks among the best courses in the area. The overall practice facilities are a bit meager but the practice green is top notch.

General Review
Pros: -Beautiful layout
-Excellent conditioning

Cons: -limited driving range
Overall Thoughts: This is unquestionably my favorite public course in the St. Louis area. While the price isn't as cheap as many others, you get what you pay for, and the layout of this course alone is worth the cost of admission.

The course will challenge you, but plays fair and is always in good enough shape as to not detract from your round.

The staff is generally friendly and courteous, but the driving range is somewhat awkwardly placed in the middle of the course with no parking for carts, leaving you with a walk or a wait for a courtesy cart to get back to the clubhouse.

What do you usually shoot for 18 holes?: 80-90
